  Vidqun, yes I've read the 7/15/13 Study WT.

  I don't have a problem with the new understanding of the FDS.

  In fact, I was glad to hear of it. Now the other anointed can blend into the congregations easier, without having that title (and the expectations of other people that go with it) hanging over their head.

  Shirley, I believe in Jehovah.

  But I was raised by my single father to be an independent thinker and to question authority.

  So I love and serve Jehovah, but I do it in my own way.

  Retro, I don't feel like the GB are coming between Jehovah and I.

  In fact, if it weren't for the GB, I wouldn't even know who Jehovah is.

  I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to be Jehovah's friend.

  Awkward moment at the WT study today

  when we got to paragraphs 10,11 with the reference to the box at the top of the page - is your teaching up-to-date?

  the conductor asked for an explanation of what the current 'bible truth' was.

  for the first one, 'this generation (matt 24:34) absolutely nobody raised their hand!

  Perhaps to give JW's plenty of time to study and highlight it at home?

  "I'm a little confused where you stand."

  Well, I seem to be traveling 2 parallel spiritual paths at the same time.

  The first and more important path is a 'magnificent obsession' with Jehovah's heavenly organization and the Bible, especially the letters of Paul.

  The second path is a cooperative but reserved relationship with Jehovah's earthy organization.

  I don't quite understand it myself. I just know how I feel.

  I don't know. That's between Jehovah and the GB. The GB decided long ago to emphasize the Kingdom:

  The Watchtower...Announcing Jehovah's Kingdom.

  I just go with it.

  Yes, I believe in conscience and I follow mine, although I'm still training it.

  I don't have any special insight into Luke 17:1-4, although I do thank you for bringing those scriptures to my attention. I have need of verses 3 and 4.

  lost, the elders here seem to have no respect for Jehovah's earthly organization. How can they be qualified?

  Qualities of a fine shepherd: 1 Tim 3, Titus 1 (loyal).

  Fine qualities of a Christian: fruitage of the spirit (Gal 5:22,23)
